Biography

An accomplished educator and author in the field of law, Neil has served with distinction in a career encompassing the interface of social science and the law, criminal law, legal malpractice, and jury systems.  Named a Russell M. Robinson Professor of Law and Professor of Psychology at Duke University in 1989, he is a prolific author of books and articles pertaining to a variety of social and legal issues.  An internationally recognized expert on justice behavior, Neil provided testimony and consulting on juries in several countries including cases before the Supreme Court of the United States and the Supreme Court of Canada.  Numerous professional appointments including being named a Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science have recognized his accomplishments.
